Preparation

The day before:

Shower, exfoliate and moisturise with a non-oil based moisturiser.

Hair removal should also be completed the day before to give the pores time to close.

On the day of the treatment:

Shower and exfoliate to leave clean, prepared skin.

Do NOT moisturise.

Do NOT apply deodorant or perfume since they may react with the tanning lotion and may lessen the colour in these areas.

All make-up must be removed if the face is to be tanned. Couture Tan does not stain hair or lips.

Remove contact lenses and any loose jewelry prior to your session.

Couture Tanning is unsuitable if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy (even though Couture Tan is a general cosmetic procedure). It is safe during the second and third trimester (please note, however, that there may be a risk of uneven pigmentation in the skin, which may result in white patches). 

Clothing

Loose fitting, dark clothing should be worn.

Wear open shoes or flip-flops to prevent rubbing.

It is not advisable to wear expensive, tight fitting garments until after showing (minimum of 5 hours after application).

Couture Tan rarely permanently stains clothing. Any residual colour may be easily removed in the wash. For all over tanning, you should wear a bikini, bra and pants or bikini/pant bottoms.

For partial tanning, you should wear clothing which gives access to those areas which are to be tanned.

Aftercare

Showering

First shower after the application (minimum of 5 hours) - you may be aware of very light residue in the water - This is the guide colour washing away.

Use gentle non-oil based products for cleansing.

Pat rather than rub yourself dry.

Exfoliate every 4th day with a gentle body scrub to ensure the tan breaks down evenly.

Maintaining the tan

Apply moisturiser twice daily.

On the third to fourth day, use a gentle body scrub to wash away the surface skin cells.

Moisturise with a moisturising tan extender - like Dove, Johnsons. This will give your tan a lift.

With regular use of the home care products, your tan should last from 7 to 10 days, depending on your skin type, skin colour and the extent of your normal bathing routines.

Top-up tans can be applied when required.

Special notes

Avoid exercise after treatment for a minimum of 5 hours - but preferably more. Excessive sweating may cause the tan to break down more quickly and unevenly.

Coulture Tan offers NO protection from the Sun. If you are going out in strong Sun, make sure you use a suitable SPF lotion.

Couture Tan takes 5 hours to absorb and 24 hours to develop to its fullest colour.

TANNING PARTIES

Hey Ladies, you've heard of tupperware parties, cosmetics parties and lingerie parties... well now you can have a TANNING PARTY.

What's a Tan Party? Basically, get yourself and a group of friends over to your place, wine and nibbles (a must have!!), have me round and all get absolutely tanned. Ideal for Hen Parties, pre-weddings, dance shows or girly weekends away!

I will visit your house, set up my pop up tent, and in next to no time you and your friends will look as though you have just come back from somewhere in the Sun!

There are discount rates that apply to a group booking:

2 to 4 people - £15 each (normal price £18)

4 to 8 people - £15 each and the hostess has hers free!!

Groups larger than 8, please contact for arrangments


What to wear to a TANNING PARTY
Best to arrive in dark, loose fitting clothes, like a tracksuit. You may also want to bring a bathrobe to wear after your tan whilst you're drying. To all those ladies who are uncomfortable about your figure, don't worry! Discuss your requirements beforehand whether you want to wear a bikini, swimsuit or shorts, the choice is yours. You'll fall in love with your gorgeous spray tan.
