Answers to some of the common questions

Q. Are nail enhancements damaging to the nail?

The systems are not damaging themselves. The damage can come from the technician applying them. An inexperienced technician may buff too much into the nail plate, causing damage. The use of an electric drill is the main cause of nail damage. Some technicians regularly use the drill to shape enhancements. The Creative Nails system does not use a drill at any stage, and the training we take teaches us to sculpt and shape with the brush, which minimises the amount of buffing needed. The products I use are designed to enhance the nails without damaging or affecting the natural nail growth, leaving your nails in good condition under the enhancements.

sQ. Why do a set of Creative Nails enhancements cost more than other systems?

What can I say... the products speak for themselves! The products are designed to give beautiful enhancements to your nails, without any damage or side effects. The quality of the products is very high - the best in fact! And the range available ensures that your enhancements are tailored to you. The training is second to none, and the technicians skill and experience means that you get a set of nails that fit beautifully, and are kind to your natural nails.

How often do I need to have a re-balance?

A re-balance (or 'infills') is usually recommended every two weeks, but you will need to judge the length of time for yourself. Some nails can go for three weeks before needing a re-balance, but you need to remember that the longer you leave it, the more work the technician may need to do, more lifting may occur, more length to take down, and more buffing to do.

what is the difference between gel and acrylics

essentially they are the same product they both contain the same ingredients , only they are applied with different techniques .Gel is  applied in layers and it looks like honey to apply it is cured slowly under a uv lamp ,acrylics are applied with liquid and powder, the removal of the two systems are different ,gel cannot be soaked off it has to be buffed off.(please if you are having gel nails removed make sure you are confident with the person removing them as buffing on the nail plate can have lasting damage)out of the two systems you get a much crisper ,white smile line with gel but they are not so hard wearing ,acrylics are tougher and can with stand most day to day chores .
